2018 (58th) Biennial National Convention
This past week (July 2nd-5th, 2018) our chapter had the pleasure of sending representatives to the Biennial National Convention in Dallas, Texas at the Gaylord Texan Convention Center. Over the three days, our Sisters attended workshops, listened in on keynote speakers, met Sisters from across North America, and learned the true meaning of "Our Kind of Kind".
During our stay, we had the honor of participating in an honorary initiation to women who have given so much back to our national fraternity. To cap off the experience, a new National Executive board was installed. It was also revealed that the 59th Biennial Convention will be held in our very own state of Florida at the JW Marriot in Orlando, Fl.
A weekend spent with Sisters and Beta Alpha's Advisors showed us all the true impact that Tri Delta has on her members.
"Let us found a society that shall be kind alike to all and think more of a girl’s inner self and character than of her personal appearance."

When I started college, I didn’t know many people and felt like something was missing from my experience. When I decided to go through Fall recruitment it was a very overwhelming process for me and I was very unsure. When I walked through the doors of Tri Delta the very first day, I felt like sisters were so enthusiastic and excited for me to be there it was a very comforting feeling. When I ran home to tri delta I wasn’t sure what to expect in the new member process but I was pleasantly surprised by all the support from older sisters. Everyone was going out of their way to make all of the new members feel so welcome into tri delta which helped me grow into the person I am today. Tri Delta represents values of truth, self-sacrifice and friendship which is displayed within every member in some way. Friendship in Tri Delta has played a big role in my experience here, going through recruitment friendship was my top value. I have made some of my best friends through this sisterhood, even sisters who I am not as close with would drop anything to come help me whenever. Our values are something that is very meaningful to me and is what makes me stay in Tri Delta. Living in the house has made me realize how much all of us are here for each other, self-sacrifice is used daily whenever a sister is in need. While living in the house, myself and other sisters have gone through struggles, but living in such a fun and happy environment lifts my spirits all the time. Knowing that I can go into the living room and have a dance party or a sleepover with all my sisters every night is the best feeling. I love being able to be myself in Tri Delta, and everyone else who uses truth to be there for a sister. Without Tri Delta, I wouldn’t have become a stronger woman who embodies truth, self-sacrifice, and friendship no matter where I am and who I’m with.
